This edition of AIS 2022 will be mainly co-organized by ESTIA, Institute of Technology (one of the main engineering school of Region of Nouvelle Aquitaine) and the "Technopole Pays Basque" and the "Communauté d’Agglomérations Pays Basque".

Bidart is a south-western French city, based in the Basque Country (near Bayonne, Biarritz and the border of France-Spain close/in between of big cities such as Bordeaux, Bilbao or San Sebastian). This region is well-known for its gastronomy, quality of life, outdoor activites such as hiking, skiing and surfing and the beauty of its landscapes due to its amazing location between the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains of Pyrenees.

But Bidart is not only known for its quality of life. Indeed, Bidart, and the Basque Country are really attractive as they are strategically located, at the intersection of national and cross-border French/Spanish economic roads. The conurbation offers some great infrastructures and great education and training environments. Some of their technology parks are located in competitiveness clusters or cluster networks, such as IZARBEL, which is part of Aerospace Valley and a member of ESA-BIC South France.

ESTIA Institute of Technology : ESTIA trains trilingual engineers, to undertake positions such as production manager and large project manager. Our students master energy systems and advanced computing.They are prepared to be operational in numerous business sectors : aeronautics, automotive, electronics, food-processing, capital goods and computing. The ESTIA campus is composed of four entities:

• ESTIA Engineering School, with almost 1000 students.
• ESTIA ENTREPRENDRE dedicated to hosting and supporting entrepreneurs and new high-tech businesses. A Business Innovation Center (BIC) with several incubators for innovative businesses and start-ups developed within 3 ecosystems of innovation dedicated to 3 sectors : Digital Technology – ICT, Aeronautics and Smart Industry, Action Sports- Design and Creative Industry. A BIC member of European Business Network (EBN) and ESA BIC Sud France.  
• ESTIA RESEARCH, a research group made up of researchers, PhD and post-doctoral students.
• ESTIA TECH is the entity in charge of value-added research and technology transfer, fostering relationships between ESTIA and businesses.

6 HIGH-TECH PLATFORMS for innovation projects and collaborative research with companies (Composite and Additive manufacturing, sustainable energy, ergonomy and tests, innovative textile & circular economy, CADCAM, micro-electronics, calculations and simulations, networks, imagery, etc.)

AIS 2022 EDITION in ESTIA 

For this edition 2022 : We plan to host between 80-100 participants coming from different universities of different countries and backgrounds :  ESTIA (engineering school), Wolverhampton (UK), University of Mondragon (SP) (entrepreneurial-business-design) (engineering school), Ecole de Design des Landes (design), etc. ; and also few Start Ups coming from our entrepreneurial ecosystem !!!

Students, researchers, amateurs, passionates…. whatever your background, you are welcome to be part of our International Hackathon. Come to ESTIA to try something new, to explore new concepts and maybe to create new business ideas in a fun collaborative event.

Come and learn more about space technology transfer! Give your team the opportunity to present your idea during the French and International finals in Cannes (FRA) the 13th and 14th of February 2023.

There are no prerequisites to participate in this 24 hours event! "first come, first served"
