ActInSpace Netherlands || An international innovation contest lead by CNES and ESA

ActInSpace in The Netherlands
- Leiden -

After two successful editions in 2016 & 2018, The Netherlands is ready to host the third edition of this unique space hackathon.

The Netherlands is home to the European Space Agency’s largest R&D facility, ESTEC, and has a long history in high tech development and astronomy research.

Also, the Netherlands was the first country in Europe to set up an ESA Business Incubation Centre (in Noordwijk), where startup companies are supported in creating a successful business from space-based technologies and satellite data.

And now you can do so yourself. Discover the potential of space based technology to improve life on earth.

AIS2022 will be held in beautiful Leiden, the city with a vibrant life sciences cluster. Close to Noordwijk, you can see why this is a region where innovations keep being born. We hope to see you at PLNT soon!

Getting ready with pre-event

Prior to the hackathon, a pre-event was held on 8 November at PLNT in Leiden to provide anyone interested in joining about the hackathon and help them to prepare. It was a great opportunity to meet your potential team members, get to know the location and meet the organisation team.

Congratulations to the winners

The Dutch heat was a great success and had 10 teams participating in a range of challenges. Here we share the winners and a full report will be available via the SBIC website in due course (link coming soon).
