ActInSpace is the only contest in the world that offers the chance to work on CNES and ESA patents. 

This year's main challenges:

  • Everyday life business: Get your business off the ground using space technologies
  • Be a new space player: Become a NewSpace player and improve the space sector thanks to ‘earth technologies’
  • Space for Humanity: Find a way to make the Space Sector serve humanitarian causes
  • Fly to the Moon and beyond: Dreaming big, Innovate even bigger

ActInSpace's prizes in Czechia

Virtual and mixed reality pilot training and meeting with Vrigeers

Meet one of ESA BIC´s alumni startups - Vrgineers - leader in delivering next-generation virtual and mixed reality pilot training systems (Synthetic Training Environment, STE) to professional and military clients. Winners have the opportunity to try virtual and mixed reality pilot training and moreover, to meet with Vrigeers and discuss possibilities of other cooperation like internship, etc. Vrgineers was co-founded in 2017 by CEO Marek Polcak and currently employs an international team of 50 specialists that combine a high level of technical skills (mostly Ph.D. & Engineer graduates) with industry professionals.

About the event

ActInSpace 2022 will take place at NextZone and Smíchovská střední průmyslová škola a gymnázium (SSPŠ). 

NextZone and SSPŠ share the same address - Preslova 25, Prague 5.

You can get there by underground line B from the station “Anděl”, or only a short walk from the tram at “Arbesovo náměstí”.

Our experts for the event

Tomáš CIRONIS
Tomas came from the non-profit field to the startup environment. He is the Director of the Disraptors, also does an analysis in Air Ventures, builds a community at Czech Founders and fundraises for LORM, helping deaf-blind people.

Daniel SUSKE
Daniel works in a consulting company CGI, where he developed applications for analysis of Earth Observation imagery and cooperated with the Ministry of Transport on the development of the new toll system. He currently works for EUSPA.

Kristýna MUSILOVÁ
Kristýna has experience in Space, International Law, and Governmental Affairs. She works for consulting company CGI where she focuses on the EU Space Programme. Previously she worked for the Ministry of Defence and for Amnesty International.

Daniel ŠTEFL
Daniel is an R&D engineer with experience at ESA. He founded and grew a start-up from 0 to a profitable business with a 1 M€ turnover, participating in a mission to an asteroid. Recently, he supported the FLEX sat verification at Thales in France.

Ondřej VODIČKA
Ondrej is currently a Head of Technological Cooperation Unit of Industrial Cooperation Division at the Ministry of Defence. He is responsible for connecting industry and academia with the Czech Armed Forces to foster innovation.

Ivo DENEMARK
Ivo is Director of the Technological Incubation Department at the CzechInvest. His job is to support interesting, scalable projects in sectors like Mobility, EcoTech, Creative industries and AI. He is also a Business development manager at ESA BIC.

Michal KUNEŠ
Michal has been involved in the space industry for more than 10 years. He is currently working as a Program Manager at ESA BIC Czech Republic, where he supports space startups.
