Act In Space, Cyprus. Nicosia's Space Competition
The Cyprus Space Exploration Organisation (CSEO) is organising the Act In Space 2026 in Cyprus.
Since 2014, CSEO has been organising many space competitions on the island. 4 teams from Cyprus have progressed and won globally several international competitions, while others have progressed their solutions towards real world applications.
Through its international space network, CSEO supported these teams to visit some of the most influential facilities and people in space, offering those teams the opportunity to progress their careers in the space industry, by connecting them with international experts in a range of fields and industries from around the world, to gain knowledge and experience from.
Now, with #ActInSpace2026 all that creativity, ingenuity and innovation has a new home, CSEO's C-SpaRC space research centre. Located in the heart of the old town of Nicosia. the C-SpaRC research centre is the perfect location for teams from throughout Cyprus to meet and collaborate together not only developing soloutions to challenges in space exploration but also to create products to help challenges here on Earth. Cypriot teams will also have the chance to benefit from CSEO's International Space Network once again.
Everyone from students to engineers, creatives, developers or space enthusiasts are welcome to join in and experience one of the most exciting space competitions in the world.
Act In Space is a superb opportunity for teams to engage with the space industry. Offering teams a real experience of working in the space sector solving difficult challenges for a prize that truly is out of this world.
The winners of the Cyprus stage of the competition will have the chance to attend and compete at the international final in Cannes. While presenting their projects to a jury of international experts on technology transfer and business development, they will meet the other winning teams and accomplished members of the space industry.
The main competition will be held on the weekend 30 & 21 January 2026.
The International Final of ActInSpace will be held on the 1 & 2 April 2026 in Bordeaux, France.

ActInSpace Grand Prize
Winners of the national stage will get to visit and compete at the international final in Bordeaux, France, and should they win globally they get to fly in Zero-G - the Grand Prize. The winning team will also get support to further develop their space start-up.
Main Competition
Nicosia is a city whose origins start within the ancient Venetian Walls, surrounding the old town, with impressive bastions designed to protect the people of Nicosia from invading armies. Such impressive engineering like this, is the perfect place for an exciting competition like Act In Space.

What is Act In Space
Act In Space compliments CSEO's Space Startups programme helping teams of 2–5 develop their projects into commercial entities.
The main focus of the competition is the development of space start-ups into commercial entities. We will be promoting technological innovation in Cyprus and form innovative start-ups in the top high-tech space sector (using the resources provided from space missions and data), giving opportunities to the new generation and placing Cyprus dynamically in this captivating field.
Due to the involvement of the European Space Agency (ESA) and the French Space Agency (CNES) as international organisers, this competition is expected to be the highest profile technology and innovation competition held in Cyprus to date.
